@pinz2022 Who is everyone? The trigger on my 940 has been as smooth as silk since day one. The Glock is a piece of crap. The 940 feels great in your hand if you're the type of guy who likes a Browningish type frame typical of 1911 style pistols. The gun points naturally & in spite of it's aluminum frame, handles the .40 S&W round quite well. My 940 replaced my Millennium Pro 145 which is a great compact .45, but I couldn't get used to not having an external hammer. Personal choice.

@pinz2022 Never did smooth out, I hated the trigger on it. Other than that it was a great gun! I actually sold it and bought a 4th gen glock 22. I like the glock sooo much more! Mag holds 15, it has the tac rail on the bottom and is much much lighter! I'd say if yor are planning on spending more than 500 on a pistol go for either a glock or a XD.

The Taurus 940 sounds like a good deal (MSRP $633) and it certainly looks like a grip I could get my dainty hands around but everyone says the trigger is atrocious. Does it smooth out with use or could just a little gunsmith-tuning do the trick?

@jeffcoolstuff Well, a little. As long as you keep it clean you'll be fine. I had a inside piece of the gun brake off, not even sure what it was. Lost it in the grass
