Jim Jones And The Bible Version Issue

Many Alexandrian apostates compare King James Bible believers to Jim Jones, the leader and murderer of the "People's Church". Is this really a fair comparison? Was Jim Jones a "Bible-believing, Fundamentalist Christian"?

This vid reminds me of my Catholic days.

I was Douay-Rheims only and I considered the KJV to be heretical trash. It wasn't till I was born again that I realized there were bazillion different "protestant" Bibles. I was shocked to see there was no unity concerning a Bible version in non-Catholic churches. I studied the issue and it became clear as day that the KJV is the only Bible worthy of being called the word of God in the English language. The fact that this is an issue is embarrassing.

I saw Alberto Rivera preach, twice in Montréal. He was full of charisma, an handsome man with a powerful pulpit presence. I`ve read several of his works but not all of them. Frankly, I don`t accept all of his claims, even about himself, but that doesn`t invalidate all that he said and wrote. However, that isn`t what is important. It`s the truth of what he proposed that matters. Some of it is true, some surely not, but that such truths (or otherwise) are associated with him isn`t what counts.

something i wanna point out to you about Jim Jones, he ran a "black" church. Which im sure you've seen the Blues Brothers and the church scene with James Brown where everyone is dancing. That stuff is real. My dad was a bass player at a black church that had the bass thumpin funk music for the lord and my dad was a strong believer in God. Its just how people do their church services. Most black churches are like that. Ive spent the last 7 years studying Jim Jones to know what im saying.
