The following episode looks at both Complete and Incomplete Combustion reactions. Both types involve burning hydrocarbons (compounds that contain H and C ONLY) in the presence of oxygen. The products that are formed are carbon dioxide and water. However, in addition to those products, carbon monoxide and carbon are produced during INCOMPLETE combustion reactions. • Sorry, But ... Shouldn´t the hydrocarbon & the O2 be the reactants as explained at the beginning of the lesson ?

  • @rafarodrisala I placed annotations over a year ago that corrected that mistake.

  • Okay so how would I write the balanced equaton of .....

    potassium chlorate

Why isn't there a plus sign??

  • @prettyhall1 You can't just try to balance a compound.

  • I freaking love your notes on this subject! It makes everything sound so much more simple! Thanks a bundle.

  • @susantarlitz You are very welcome. I'm glad I was able to help. Best of luck with the rest of your studies.
