Bone

I may add shading to the characters to make them more believable when I have the time, but for now, it can be posted. And BOY did this take long! I did this without any tweening anyway- yes, the animation is produced in Flash. BGs are painted in Photoshop.

As you may have heard, Warner Bros. has hired AnimalLogic to animate his story BONE in CG- this video shows my take on how it would look if it were going to be produced in 2D. Sound is taken from the soundtrack of TellTale Games' video game of the series.

Reflecting on this, even though the movie will be in CG, I REALLY think they should have a little 2D in it! Like, maybe in the opening and/or closing credits... or maybe in a short sequence in the body of the film!! It worked marvelously for Kung Fu Panda, and Cloudy... and I see a growing emergence of traditionally-animated credit sequences nowadays!!! Someone should suggest this to him!

Here's to you, Jeff. BONE was the first graphic novel I ever read, and the first I religiously followed. I hope the movie is the best it can be!

I like the idea of a singer as Thorn. It offers some leverage toward the company, who'd want a lot of tie-ins, and present the opportunity to sing an end credit song!

(Cont..) I could see Samuel L Jackson as Ted and James Earl Jones as his 'big' brother. Yeah it seems a majority Grandma Ben's voice is much too young and high. Wish I some REAL voice acting experience other than a few volunteer years on the radio in college...

@andrewkful In my opinion Fone Bone should have a more natural voice, Phoney Bone should have a raspy voice, and Smiley should have a deep, comical voice.

...only thing I personally do not like so much are the rat monsters' voices. Should be more snarling, maybe with a lisp, similar to Mike Patton's voicework in The Darkness.

@andrewkful Says a lot about how horrible the in-game graphics and animation are, if they even manage to spoil a perfectly serviceable voiceover. You could probably make a perfectly fine short clip from the game's dialogue and cut scenes with your drawing and animation prowess.
