20 of the last 58 comments (that's 35%) reference Knuckles or Sonic, while only 2 use the word monotreme. That means ten times as many people knew echidnas for the arbitrarily chosen hedgehog-like species of a video game character, compared to the one of the last living representatives of the oldest strain of mammals to ever walk the Earth.
