  • wait, you posted this on aug 30th.

  • @TheBertonex19 Yes, I posted it in light of his resignation on August 24th. I changed it when he died.

  • For those who are not knowledgeable about Steve Jobs, he did start Pixar, and was credited on Toy Story; that is why the clip of Toy Story is there.

u made my day bro!!!! holy shit i didnt know steve made that company

  • @roi895 Thank you. He got fired from Apple in 1985 by new CEO, John Sculey, who Steve hired to run the company better. When he got fired, he believed all was lost, but he picked himself up and decided to start some new ventures. He started NeXT Computer, where he made professional computer workstations. He also bought, from George Lucas, "The Lucasarts Computer Graphics Project", which included animator John Lasseter and computer scientist, Ed Catmul. Steve changed the name to Pixar.

  • @HHGFHJGFHJGFJTYFJDGY That is when they became an animation studio, with the hope of one day, making a full feature length computer animated film. They did, with Toy Story in 1995. In 1997, Steve returned to Apple with Apple buying NeXT, due to Apple being in turmoil at the time with CEO Gil Amelio. He remained as Pixar CEO until 2006 when The Walt Disney Company bought it for $7.4 billion. Steve is the largest shareholder and a board member of Disney today.

  • I never liked good byes to good people... Especially a great innovator like Jobs , or Richie (the computer scientist responsible for developing "C", etc, etc)...

    Thanks for this tribute, though.
