this video does a pretty good job explaining how a solar cell works, but there's 1 thing that they said which is wrong: they say that the electrons go from the positive layer to the negative layer. That's not true at all, it's the other way around: electrons go from the negative layer to the positive layer. electrons go from the layer that's a combination of silicon and phosphorus (negative layer) to the layer that's a combination of silicon and boron (positive layer).
