Three Jigs on Cello Banjo by Steven Hawson

The very talented Irish banjo player Angelina Carberry recorded jigs 1 and 3 together as the first track of her An Traidisiun Beo album. Her playing is absolutely wonderful. So, I had to give it a go myself -- but decided to go with a cello banjo rather than the tenor -- there would be no point in me trying to improve upon her recording, so best try something a little different. The 2nd, a setting of Bolen's Fancy, I picked up from a Touchstone recording called The New Land, where Claudine Langille plays some great banjo as well.
Nevermind the video part, that was just for fun. It's the music I hope you enjoy. And please share if you like it...

Simply fantastic! We aren't having much of a spring here, but listening to this more than makes up for it. The jigs are sunny, light, smile-invoking and spirit-lifting. Thank you for your beautiful music!
