Examines the performance of my boat "Sea Dog" using a pair of Shaw & Tenney Oars and Honda 2HP 4-stroke outboard motor. I Built "Sea Dog" using the plans called "Alaska", designed by Don Kurylko at www.dhkurylko-yachtdesign.com/build.html
The hull is based on a type called a "whitehall" which was perfected as a very efficient rowing and sailing hull form in the late 1800s. The hull has been completed and registered, but a few features have yet to be completed. These additional features include: Fore and Aft decks, Coaming, Sail Rig, Forward oarlock sockets, Teak grate to cover the anchor locker. Video was filmed using a GoPro HD Hero 960 Wearable Camera. Many people who see the boat for the first time think it is an antique. They are quite surprised to hear that I built it over the past few years. Produced with CyberLink PowerDirector 9
Love the boat, love the video. Please make a few more to share a little about building her and some of the trips you make.
