I'm pushing the effects channel of my 1976 Twin Reverb, Volume is at 10, Treble at 1.75, Middle at 10, Bass at 10, Reverb at 4.25, and the Master Volume is at 4. I'm plugged through my Roger Mayer Vision Wah, then into the amp. I am just checking out the Twin, not playing to teach or astound. Go here to see my latest jams up in Highwood, Illinois:

  • damn man I love Jimi and I love you playing this song. I picked up a few good licks from playing along to your vid. I always wondered how Jimi played his Blue Suede Shoes and now I know. Are you tuned down a 1/2 step? I think you are cus I had to play this all down a fret

  • Thanks for the kind words! I am pretty much stuck in D# tuning these days, sorry...

  • Dude...lighten up on that right hand when you're soloing.

If you dig Jimi, watch how light his touch was.

If you want to be louder, twist the knob.

  • Guitar volume is at maximum...

  • absolutely fucking speachless. that was brilliant. you wouldnt happan to have the tabs for this by any chance.

    once again, brilliant.

  • Thanks for the kind words, they really are a comfort! I'm sorry but I don't do tabs... The main gist of Blue Suede Shoes centers on the C# riff (remember I'm tuned to D# just to be a pain!). Using the A string, the D string, and the bottom E string, Jimi sets up a funky line from the second and fourth fret to the open E string. Work it out by ear if you can...
