California Wild Fire Tanker Operations 30 August 2009

I wanted to post this video taken from my house near Lancaster Ca. Most of the fire fighting aircraft are flying out of Fox Field and I live just 2 miles from and almost directly in line with the runway. We have been watching the brave crews of the fire bombers flying over our house the last couple of days at a rate of one aircraft every five to ten minutes. I have nothing but respect for the crews in the aircraft and the men on the ground. They are doing a fantastic job in very hot and smoky conditions. A big Thank You to all of them.

Although I made this video yesterday, I waited to post it until today. I am sad to report the loss of two brave fire fighters near Acton California fighting this fire. Let us all pray that no one else is injured or killed. And thank the brave men and women fighting this fire.

@danielrpotter they werent fighting the fire at the time of there death. they were about five miles away and they were backing up there fire truck.
