The Codine is like a first step drug into the harder opiates. Dont kid yourself in 1 to 4 years you will be on Oxycontin if it is still avaiable. Or worse shotting drugs. Stop while your still on a drug you can detox off of with the help of suboxone or subutex

Great comments on here, some real tales of opium addiction and knowledge. More helpful than most doctors. Mine whom has just prescribed me with 60 30mg pills of codeine phosphate. Smart move Doc. Me with a history of alcohol addiction.

It didn't happen like that for me. I have carpal tunnel and had surgery. I was on tylenol 3's for 2 years, taking 6 a day, and then my Dr. transferred out and no one wanted to prescribe for me any more. I had to go cold turkey. I had no symptoms - no sickness, but I was afraid of the pain coming back - and it did. SInce then my life has been about learning to live with daily physical pain that is sometimes very hard. I do that because I don't want to be an addict.

Vicodin gets its name from being around 6 (VI) times stronger than Codiene ( VI codin )

@Jady123456 also stuff like frank is all anti drugs propaganda funded by wait for it the tobacco alcohol and pharm industries they want people using there drugs instead of harmless ones (harmless in moderation and used responsibly) they can grow themselves tax free, its all about the money man, alcohol is legal and yet proven to be far far more dangerous than weed cigarettes are legal, nobody cares about your safety they only care about money.
