@deanschool Dude, what you replaced was not a glow plug....
-
@erk409 5.9 cummins...
-
@deanschool You probably replaced your spark plugs in your 5.9 360 V8 lol
-
@deanschool Maybe you just had to replace the grid heater? Because I'm perty sure that they don't have glow plugs. I'm not a diesel mechanic though, so I could be wrong.

@dirtbikemechanic im pretty sure i just replaced glow plugs in my 2006 5.9....
-
@deanschool Actually, they don't have glow plugs ... but they do have a grid heater, which heats the air when certain parameters are met. I think Powerstroke's have glow plugs though.

I can promise you it was something else you replaced, it's a fact that every year of Cummins motor put in a dodge ram truck, or even the 3.9 4BT Cummins in bread/postal trucks have NEVER had glow plugs, it's not how they work. must be mistaken. the only thing they have in the head are valves, injectors, and a heater grid under the "Intake elbow". Very simple set up, it's why they last so long. less parts,less things moving, less things to go wrong and fail/break.
