no the S2 engine is complex but not comparable to K2000's VAST which is deeper and really semimodular.
hw, the S2 had a really good sound synthesis on board, acoustic sounds are not well emulated but analogue and digital synth sounds were realistic and usable.

@majorhostage : you're saying that the synthesis engine of the Gem 'S' Series is comparable with the VAST Synthesis Engine ? All is modular like a Kurzweil ?
