@mrfootshow The steps overs are pretty useless, however they do cause the defenders to break down or entirely stop. cristiano ronaldo is quicker and more explosive with or without the ball so he's going to go by defenders. He just likes to dance with the ball so everyone can look at him

@jeffchong1989 exactly. Ronaldinho used to do them at an extremly high speed and always dribbled past his opponent. As long as your quick, very fast but also smart(meaning that you know when to do it and not just dance around like a clown) then it's really useful.
