I just wanted to say I am praying for you guys and I know how you feel. My monther had Huntington's Chorea. I remember having to deal with that and caring for her. It is hard. I also worry that my sister and I will get it. I know it is tough but just keep your faith and you can deal with anything. God bless you!
OMG this video broke my heart. Im currently a nursing student and just studied HD. I wanted to actually see what it looks like. Video after video i have watched of older people with it. Seeing it in a child, words cannot even begin to describe how this tears me up inside. Your family is so strong and i hope ya'll found peace in knowing that this disease is no longer affecting her! Let God hold your family in his hands to always protect you.
When Bad Things Happen to Good People: Rabbi Kushner, written in honor of his son who suffered from and died of progeria - I recommend to all who are looking for consolation in the form of some new words. God bless this family.
Last year I stumbled upon this video by accident, knowing nothing of HD or JHD, and Karli absolutely stole my heart.I subsequently viewed the rest of the uploads having to do with your family and I was completely taken by the strength, love and kindness you all have for each other. I was checking updates yesterday and was heartbroken to hear of Karli's passing in '10.Sending hugs to all of you as you continue to fight the unfair cruelty of HD bravely! You deserve a cure-I'll do what I can to help
@tasmar555 I will pray for you that you find your faith again. Faith can help you through the most difficult times, when things happen that make no sense and we don't understand why. Faith can help you to find the strength to endure the unendurable. May God shine His light down upon you and your family and give you the peace you so deserve!
i can't stop crying....my little brother is lying in a bed, all skin and bones, fed from his nose, suffering a poly-organic failure, internal bleeding and severe lung infection....and the worst part is: If i had the right it would be ME the one that pulls off the plug that keeps him alive...NOONE deserves to live like that, not even a single moment. HD has ruined my family....I have lost my faith to God and the will to go on...my deepest compassion to all affected by this horrible disease
So much pain and suffering in this world. I can't even imagine how painful it is as a parent to see their child go through that and feel so helpless knowing there is nothing that can be done. Shame on the people who add to the pain and suffering with unnecessary things like war for instance when their energy could be better used elsewhere if we all just learn to get along and use dialogue during a conflict. Disease does not discriminate and that should make people see we are all just the same.
