@eurolagnia I interpreted it differently when I found out about Ampex. I though Prefuse meant that everything "she" touched became broken, divided, and inconsistent. I think it's also a play on words on how the album itself its broken into pieces even though Scott Herren originally meant the album to be one single long track (or so I've read), as if "she" had influenced the album as well.
Your interpretation makes sense to me, too, though.

@eurolagnia Thanks very much :) I would never have found that out......

I remember the first time I listened to this, I thought it was shit. Coming right off Surrounded by Silence and One Word Extinguisher, it was hard getting used to something that sounded like it came from 20 years in the future. Now, it's easily one of my favorite Scott Herren material, and I can't believe I used to hate it.

@grofwomp Oh, wait, I figured it out. I had actually paid for the album, I just wanted to show my friends, but had no mp3 player at the time. Note that I said "...whenever I didn't have access to my home computer."
Teebs made an amazing remix of this song!!!!!!!!

@Boot7Leg it's a reference to when music was recorded on analog tapes, reels which were most commonly produced by a company called Ampex. Scott's reference with this album title suggests that "everything she touched turned" innocent, more real, lively, traditional, more loving in contrast to the cold, ugly, digital existence of everythign else today.
