Macbook Crash! Question Mark of Death! Help Please!

I bought this on '07 and never had any problems until one day i was going to burn a cd and when i put in a blank cd the computer didn't recognize it. So when I tried ejecting it, it wouldn't so i decided to restart it. Once it restarted all i saw was the grey screen and the folder with the question mark in it. So when i finally was able to eject the cd i restarted it again but it still did the same thing. Now I know this usually means the hard drive crash but when i tried booting up the computer through the install cds that came with it, it just kept ejecting it.

So my question is not only would i need a new hard drive, bout would i need a new slot drive or whatever they're called.
