Demo with both hands of a more natural and powerful backhand technique i recommend you learn after the awkward flipped over hand style i first immitated .simular to a tennis backhand swing,Read on wear gloves your skin is thin there, focus on striking the ball at your knuckles.watch it the sweet spot is smaller on the backhand knuckle area.
HERES the excersize to pratice to learn it real fast.
just slap your hands together and use the swing of the normal arm you hit with to guide the opposite one like holding your paddle or tennis racquet, start the swing like this then stop your normal arm just before your hands make ball contact, continue your follow through with your back hand arm,you will quickly transfer the knowledge your brain has already setup for the opposite hand, you may find your self swinging your shoulders more as you do this thats encouraged be smooth wind up your shouloders then release them, snap your arm at your shoulder and elbow to get the speed.think of it like a backhand open handed knuckle punch, you can get a good pop on the ball if you snap it quick, remember to develope your muscles in your shoulder are different so look out for injuries take it slow till they get strong.you may need some padding eventually too?i think it looks cool and flashy and it is so smooth when done right, requires alot of practice to make these on the run.running to my right i have trouble hitting with my left watch my video of me exchangeing serves with a beginner we were not keeping scrore,a good way i found to pratice this tricky style takin it easy.when i was a kid i use to play an adult that did not learn to play with his left he only used his right, his left was real bad,his right backhand was better ,pretty good i remember.old school, beat me alot!
