This is a review for the connections for building the homemade DIY plasma cutter.
Please note this is for informational purposes only! This device is not isolated from ground and in this current version could, under correct circumstances, cause a lethal shock. This device was tested on a dry concrete slab and show a open to ground voltage of 7.3 volts.
i already make very advancement on this diy plasma cutter, i recommend use an step down isolating transformer as precaution mode. instead use direct live ac source is dangerous, for the torch i recommend use a pilot arch connection plasma torch like the dsw60, you can find on ebay, im researching how keep an stable arch and ajust the current with simple circuit and components. thanks a lot to cheaphardwarez for the info on how this machine works!!

Did you try making a oxy-gasoline cutting torch? It looks simpler to make than a plasma cutter and it can cut 30cm steel many times faster than plasma without any problems.
I'm in the same situation, I would like to have the means to cut metal faster than using a hacksaw but I'm not ready to spend 1000$+ on a plasma cutter.
Thanks for posting!
