Panasonic NV-HS860 VCR Loading Issues #2

Part 2 showing what happens inside.

After inserting a cassette the motors whir for a second or two and then the unit powers off. When you turn it on again it tries to ejects the cassette.

With the lid off you can see that it's failed to move the tape guides and load the tape from the cassette.

It behaves the same regardless of whether the lid is on or off.
