How to determine if ring structures are aromatic.
Four Principles:
1) Is it a ring?
2) Is it planar?
3) Does each bond have either a lone pair or a pi-bond?
4) Huckel's Rule= 4N+2

  • The last compound you are right the boron doesn't have a lone pair but this doesn't mean it can not adopt sp2 hybridization by pi e de localization. It is anti aromatic. Following 4n rule.
