From Wikipedia:

The Gurdon Light is an unexplained light, said to be of supernatural origin, found in modern day Gurdon, Arkansas folklore. It is a series of unknown phenomena which occur in a wooded area by railroad tracks, appears to observers as a light or lights hovering in the air. The light has been featured on local media and on the TV show Unsolved Mysteries. The location is still in use by the railroad and is one of the most popular Halloween attractions in the area.

The light has been ascribed various colors, ranging from blue, green or white, to orange, and has been described as bobbing around as if being from a cord. Its location varies within a select geographic area and witnesses have described it appearing at various times of the day or night.

  • I have scen dis lite a many uh times! I have at least saw dis lite 5 tims. I mite not no how to spel but i hav scene dis. I PROMIS!!!!!!!

  • my mom saw something like that in canada back when she was a little girl

  • i agree swamp gas like natural gas likely burns blue rather then yellow/orange sense it a pure gas i even reported to be seen as a blue firey flash when it burns

  • Bullshit how yall wanna say swam gas or natural phenomena. I saw it with my own eyes!!!

  • I live about 30 miles away from this, and went there last night with a couple of my buddies. We walked at least 2 miles down the tracks, never seen nothing.

  • Whatever causes this phenomenon is not limited to Gurdon. There are similar stories along train tracks in Minnesota and near Maco, North Carolina, as well as "ghost lights" mysteriously appearing on the plains near Marfa, TX. I am intrigued because I don't buy the other-worldly explanations, I think it is some sort of natural phenomenon that we don't understand yet. There is a lot about our world that we cannot explain with current science. I do miss Robert Stack though, as creepy as he was!

  • I love the reenactments on this show.
