Udall Outlines Serious Reservations about Final NDAA Provisions on Indefinite Detention

In a speech before voting on the 2012 National Defense Authorization Act, Mark Udall laid out his work while on the Senate-House conference committee to strip out provisions from the bill that would allow for the indefinite detention without trial of Americans suspected of terrorism.

After all that, he voted for the merged bill, as he said he would "with reservations". "Reservations" don't really mean a thing when you enact the bill. Thanks so much for talking about defending our civil liberties but then voting against them because you had to pass the defense bill before Christmas.

There's something you need to understand. The bill contains the funding for our US military. This is why amendments were attempted to keep American Citizens from being detained.Udall in fact proposed an amendment to prevent American citizens from being detained.

I think that the whole "War on Terror" is a scam, the people of the united states have been made to believe that Islam & al qaeda are the enemys of the US. I can't support my opinion in 400 letters but there is to much evidence that 9/11 was a inside job, and i'm not a conspiracy theorist but if you look at the facts... and see what is happening now... you're going to look at it from a whole other perspective and it's mostly done to keep the US population in check and monitored.
