Some Words From The Editor (@McGarmott):
People, it is time we change our attitude. The keyword here is ENGAGEMENT. Not demonising, not accusing, not taunting, and not making fun of people who don't agree with us -- yes, even the people who continue to support UMNO and BN, even Ibrahim Ali. The way forward is to engage each other in dialogue, using civil language, using intelligent debates and arguments -- that is, use reason. Democracy entails us talking to each other maturely, and accepting that people WILL have different points of view. Even if the other person argues with emotional rhetoric, your response, like your response during the BERSIH 2.0 rally, is to keep the temperature cool.

I did not attend the rally myself, but my friends did. This video has inspired many of you (thanks for watching!). Now I hope the rally can inspire us to TALK TO EACH OTHER, NOT JUST AMONG OURSELVES.

Music track taken from "John Rescued - Resolution (Soprano Soloist)" by Craig Armstrong from the original score of the film "World Trade Center".

Footage sourced from other Youtube videos of the BERSIH 2.0 Rally held on 9th July 2011. Similarly, images were obtained from various online sources taken during the BERSIH 2.0 Rally.

  • bersih 3.0 bile pulak?

  • @mahsyakurnea Honestly I'd rather BERSIH 3.0 not happen, coz if it does, it means we didn't go anywhere far with this one = rallies fail.

  • Note: if anyone else has videos and images from the rally that they are willing to share, I'm collecting them at bersihvidspics@gmail.com, thanks! (The plan is, if I can collect enough I may be able to come up with another video edit.)

  • @McGarmott how do i send you the files? the size is huge.

  • @cwtjones How huge? Dropbox allows you to store and transfer up to 2 GB. If it's larger than that/you don't have hi-speed broadband, just email me at bersihvidspics@gmail.com and I'll figure something out.

  • @mahsyakurnea soon brother. kalau spr tak ubah sistem. on with the plan

  • Sesiape yg gi perhimpunan BERSHIT ni mmg BODOh..

  • fikir dulu sebelum buat..

  • @sfpkent mister,my point is the corrupted gov is the scum !

  • @MossadAgentXXX I dont think the roadblocks are necessary. You don't solve a so-called problem by MAKING another problem. And I find it funny people kept comparing London riot with Bersih. The root of London riot is social injustice and wealth distribution disparity. The rioters are thugs and hooligans, youths who have found burglary, robbery, and drug dealing to be more profitable than work. Bersih 2.0 is about PREVENTING Malaysia from descending into such level of rot

  • @grimmiluver yes...but the thing is you all disrupt others daily routine and block the traffic, which is obviously violated the rules and law....or you just dont even understand or even bother about it??? u said u sit down, but do you???all i see is people walk and rally block the whole road / traffic...WTH????? lets say things turn ugly, just like LONDON, then who you want to blame??the police??ooo yes u sure did by saying the police fail to do their job to look for the rally...WTH????

  • @MossadAgentXXX nah, i am proud of the fact that we are peaceful. Nobody resorts to violence even when chased by the police, cos we know it's not a solution. Malaysians have shown time and time again that we only wanted to walk and for our voices to be heard. They actually sat down and chant we want peace!

  • @grimmiluver thats y the police have to step in before it turn into a riot........

  • @MossadAgentXXX My dear, I think u need to understand the difference between a RIOT and a PEACEFUL DEMONSTRATION.
