  • @waitwhatwasthat I know how you feel! Though, It's a huge misconception that feminism is strictly for woman. Both woman and men can be feminists. If anyone believes in equality for woman and men, politically, socially and economically, then they are feminists, it sucks that "feminist" to most people automatically means man hater. So far from the truth. It's like when people go "Oh, I'm for woman's rights, but I don't call myself a feminist cause I'm not a lesbian and I don't hate guys!"

  • what the hell? what the fuck are people saying on here that so many comments were removed? this piece is amazing and beautiful and strong. she speaks out. her outfits rocks. get over it.

  • Kathleen is also very light hearted. She covers so much as in Le Tigre. She appeared to be possessed by this memory and spoke clearly to me. F'in off the hook grrrl. I am male but a strong feminist because I value a great range of expression. I like every genre of music but her band speaks to me the most.

  • This performance is so beautiful and affecting, thank you for posting it.

  • @citynoisee The whole idea that feminist = man hater lesbian is a form of oppression that perpetuates the cycle! It's so sickening.

  • is he not part of the performance?

  • @curtmastor Kathleen Hanna is THE iconic riot grrl, against all form of misogyny and female oppression. The song "Girls" objectifies women and marriage is a social construct that restricts women in a specific social gender role. That's how it's ironic. You know what irony means, right? Like a five-star chef who's own children hates his cooking or an Olympic gold medalist who drowns in a bathtub.

  • @holdenc96 how is it ironic? when you consider both her and her husband are nothing more than entertainers then it shouldnt suprise.

  • I'm gonna do this one for my school's poetry competition thingy.
