On July 17, 2010, Freedom Party leader Paul McKeever wrote an article titled "Optional Long Form Census a Blow to Racism". In the days following, MPs were recalled from summer vacation for a special summer meeting of the Standing Committee on Industry, Science and Technology to question Industry Minister Tony Clement, and a number of witnesses, about the government's decision to eliminate penalties for non-completion/non-submission of the long-form census. On July 23, 2010, McKeever was called upon to attend as a witness to the July 27, 2010 meeting of the Committee. This video shows his unedited testimony.
prairieobjectivist: Ha! Yes "as an individual". That's to hide my political affiliation, which they prefer not to disclose.
pitcalco: Quite right. Luckily, that does not mean that FP lacks influence. The standard thing is that they read our writings, watch our videos, listen to our radio broadcasts and then either (a) stop saying the things we condemned them for saying, or (b) essentially paraphrase what we've said, giving no credit.

This is hardly the first time that "Freedom Party" has gone unmentioned in such discourses.
