  • Nice video. Does this only work with the stylus, or can you use other objects? Also, can you disconnect the stylus?

  • @SpriteBat Nope, cant take it off. The stylus is wired to the box and required for making the connection. Tried with other things, no go. I suppose you could cut the stylus off and play with just the wire or attach something else though....

  • They are actually just re-issues, not knockoffs...They're made by the same company that made the originals, except the inventor's son runs it now...

  • Interesting, I knew about the re-issues, but not that they were made by the inventors sons. Cool. However, I still stick with my knockoff theory, as I live in and bought this baby in South China for WAY under the price you find the reissues online. If there is a market for it, the Chinese can and WILL copy it. I like it anyways... :)

  • Ive got the orginal Stylophone (rolf harris) boxed mint condition

    and ive just recently got the new one, which you have there :)

    i must say the orginal one sounds and feels alot better.

    and the new one has alot more nobs.. :/

    but still i gr8 retro toy!!

  • They were great little instruments...quite popular in the UK....it was used by David Bowie on his hit Space Oddity!!
