Is the old Jack still alive, MrJtgreene? His music keeps my heart feel young and rejuvenated every day! Jack remains a great country music star. I'd love to meet him some day, to present him special gift from Africa........
Great......thats all you can say.Jack was born and raised here in Maryville Tennesssee. He has family still here in town.He came home back in October to receive a plaque in recognition of his accomplishments and to have the local greenbelt park named in his honor"JACK GREENE PARK".
This was a clip from the Ernest Tubb Show when Jack Greene was still a member of the Texas Troubadours. Although he was usually the drummer for Ernest Tubb, he also plays the guitar and in this video, he is playing Leon Rhodes' green Grammer guitar-it was from a website about the history of Grammer Guitars (rather fitting for Jack Greene). It was after this song was put on record that Tubb let Jack go from the band because he knew Jack was going to be a star.
