  • When i was a teen i loved the LS1 F-Bodies but they were and still are one of the biggest pieces of shit on the road. My Firehawk rattled all the freakin time. Was fast as hell just a POS with a big engine

  • @BlackTTC6 very true man I got my first LS1 F-Body in highschool that thing was a rattlebox on wheels with power

  • Would have been a lot better if the Trans Am would lose the ugly ass ghetto wheels.

  • @HDFlixx What did you get a salvage one with the whole ass missing because it was hit by an 18 wheeler? You obviously didn't have ones like the four 4th gen F bodys I own. 1997 SLP Z28/SS, 1993 Z28 Automatic stock, 1993 Z28 Ported heads with supporting mods 390HP to the ground and doesnt rattle a bit handles that shit like its bored. And not least a 2002 T/A WS.6 Black on black all stock. Like a new car. None of which are "rattlebox" es.

  • Love the Mustang, also love my 95 LT1 camaro. Im not stock by no means (12.3 now a personal best). But its fun as hell when I roll upon a new Stang (stock of course) and laugh like hell when the kids Nerd rage over losing to me. You;d be surprised how many people are ignorant to performance parts. Anyways my 95 has 119,000 on her and the only rattle I get is when I pick up some BAD gas.....

  • @jordtizzle The gearing is really good in the new 6-speed autos. Not sure if they're running faster ETs (on average) due to being easier to drive or what.

  • @steppnstone629 they actually are, not as much hp loss with a manual

  • @TheMcBlackster Fwiw, my 01 SS automatic ran 12.5 at 110 with a lid, tune, and cat-back. It went 12.42 at 111mph with LTs and those mods, street tires, stock stall. Just saying, LS1s are running low 13s stock and 12s with a couple basic mods. The 5.0 is badass and no doubt faster mod for mod, but the decade old LS1s are nipping at its heels.

  • @Chojnacj Why do you say that? The manuals are no faster than the 6-speed automatics.

  • If the 5.0 was manual it wouldn't have been close.

  • That must have been one fat ass passenger.

  • @KOTHVETTE406 So you would deffinately recommend an F-body? Like say a 98-02 Pontiac Trans Am? I ask because that's what my money is being saved up for right now because I loved those cars ever since I was a kid (20 years old now) and I want to make sure that I wont be dissapointed by anything.

  • @HDFlixx How much did it cost ya? been looking for a couple months for a clean F-body. All the ones for 7-8k are usually turds and everything that is clean and unmolested is way over priced. Its stupid to pay 10k+ on a car thats a decade old.

  • Weight in a firebird ta always plays a huge factor.
