Host Mannie Gentile explores the history of U.S. Navy Destroyers in general and one in particular: the U.S.S. The Sullivans. This video (shot in 2003) also introduces the viewer to the dozens of destroyer veterans who volunteer their time to keep the "Sully" in shipshape condition as a museum ship in Buffalo New York.

Welcome aboard!

  • Great Video. I am a retired MCPO that started out on the Willard Keith DDE775 in 1969. Destroyer sailor motto as I was taught back then as a seaman. "we've done so much with so little for so long we can do damned near anythying with nothing and have something left over"!

Thanks for sharing this one, some great memories here.

  • Thanks Chief,

    Glad you liked it.

    Mannie
