OK, so someone's now posted the full version of the song, but I still like to listen to this because I can't imagine it without Arthur Scargill popping up. It's a shame he wouldn't pop up in videos more often.

Then again, maybe he'd have won the Miners' Strike if he hadn't been stalking Tracie Young as your video virtually proves....

Let's get one thing straight - this song is MILES better than The House That Jack Built with its droning ice-cream van keyboards and property-is-theft subplot....

have agree with everything you say.I think 'House that Jack Built' started out as a homage to The Avengers TV show? -but turned into a bit of a mess as Weller tried to put his 'property is theft' agenda in it from his Surrey mansion.

I was going to remove this with full version appearing,but people seem to like dear old Arthur making a guest appearance so i'll leave him up.

Yes a prodigy of Paul Weller, but I think he left her to the wolves so to speak,when he moved onto other projects.

Tracie was excellent - this wasn't her best TOTP performance of this record though. I've got her on TOTP 1 week later than this & it is brilliant. Superb stuff, must look out for her vynal.

Thanks for posting this, and thanks for leaving Arthur Scargill in: reminds me of those happy days. I've always loved Tracie, and I agree that this is better than "The House that Jack Built". Any idea where I could find "I Love You When You Sleep", which she released in 1984, I think. I was dating a perfect guy back then, and it always reminds me of him. Anyway, thanks for posting a great track.
