Is there any way to go weak at the bind (sorry if my terminology is lacking--I'm only just starting with I.33, and having even gotten to longsword fechtbuecher yet) and wind around the reversed grip "ochs" position? Or is that grip equally strong from both sides of the bind?

@ruebuscm Sorry for the late reply. Unfortunately, I am not entirely sure what you want to know. Who is supposed to go weak? Who shall wind around the ochs? Of course, there's a counter to every technique. If the innitial attacker is being threatened with the "Unterhau-Versetzen", an option might indeed be to wind over the defender's blade. If the defender's action was delivered powerfully, the initial attacker might find his blade in quite an off-position that has to be re-directed.

Curiously the starting position is very similar to the underarm-ward in buckler fighting.
