YEAH I Finally bought mine for 150 came with an extended butt stock and a 2-7x32 scope. First day I fired 25 rounds and got hits on pretty much every one. I LOVE this rifle

I Finally brought home my Model 91 /30 this past weekend. BUT not before putting about 25 rounds through it. AWWW The feel of a M-N recoil

Very nice.

@SHAUNMAN79 That would work for me IF I had that ability. BUT thanks for the advice just the same. THOUGH my brother might be able to help me with that. Will have to ask him about it. He buys and sells old rifles such as the M-N and is pretty meticulous in his choices, Of course, I have a bottle of cleaner that is designed just for the Mosin's and SKS that I bought a while back. It has seen little use and is stored carefully. And has never failed me in the past.
Not really, just shooting lol.

Hummm That's an interesting pedigree, Me I prefer cooler weather and at one time, would not mind the COLD as I spent 4 years in North Dakota, Courtesy of My Govt, And learned how to manage cold weather conditions. BUT now that Im getting on in years, while I still like cooler weather over the summer. The REALLY cold weather does not appeal to me as much. WOW 200 yards. I would love to be able to shoot that distance

Yeah I guess the older you get the harder it becomes to deal with the cold, mother natures way of thinning out populations I guess. 200 yards with a 7.62x54r is just breaking the ice my friend! this round is of equal power to a 30-06 so roughly lethal out to1400 yards, my rear sight adjusts to 2000 meters so your launching your rounds from a 25 degree angle to target at that distance that would be a challenge, like throwing a baseball at 2600 fps lol thanks for the comments.

@SHAUNMAN79 Well what i meant is that I do not currently own a rifle so I don't have that ability. the few times in the past that I have shot a rifle that I owned at the time. I was just getting good at 50 yards. I like the M-N, and have had a couple of the M-38's However I have a friend of mine that has a 91/30 that he is going to sell to me this spring if not sooner.. I already have som ammo for it and can not wait to get out and go shoot it.

It would be a good idea to reload your own ammo if your going for accuracy, Most of the 91/30's you will come accross have had 1000's of rnds put through there barrels and they loose there grooving and become larger than .308 I use 174 gr .311 bullets by seirra to compensate for the loss of space and get much better results, I use surplus for target shooting at my range that is when I can find it just make sure you clean your barrel real good after time you shoot surplus.

B.T.W. What was the distance you were shooting that day, And how well you do with it being so cold.

200 yards, I shoot just as well if not better in the cold as the barrel cools much quicker than when it is hot out, I have a european background, irish, polish, ukraine, dutch german and I was born in Canada cold does not bother me at all, I actually prefer winter over summer.
