cash for clunkers is destroying what is left of these cars. really too bad too, some of the better cars that america produced. caprice. camaro, cavalier, lumina, and even the corsica were solid cars, even if import drivers say they suck.

as far as i know cash for clunkers would have taken the bigger gas guzzlers like the caprice or camaro i dont think the cavalier,celebrity,corsica,ber
retta,and lumina were eligable for c4c,it was to bad to see great american cars get destroyed,i still have a 89 corsica that i use for a second vehicle its a v6 LT model its been an awsome little car! 250,000 miles on it still gets 28 mpg too -

Always liked those 88 and 89 Astro Vans in LT trim and two tone color.

i saw quite a few cavalier get trashed in vidoes. certain vehicles got destroyed under that program illegally. cars i would love to drive rather than trash. my 91 cavalier gets 29+ highway MPG. for a 20 year old car thats damn good.

The C4C only applied to 1984 models and later so if a 71 chevelle was destroyed, it was for some other reason than C4C.
