I just got back from a mine exploration trip in Johanesburg and randsburg in Kern County.Man was it awesome. My buddies and I roped 180ft down a vertical shaft only to find a massive maze and more bottomless shafts. The mountains in kern and well all other cali deserts are swiss cheese.I found some beutiful quartz crystals and blue calcite in one mine but you could see where huge vugs were dug out probably full of finger size or bigger crystals?Im going back for sure

Awesome!!
I found two entrances that are accessible from the banner grade side of the ridge. wish I could get my hands on a working map. I am exploring for Tourmaline and Garnet, all the mines I can find in SoCal.

@panjshergems Did you find the flooded entrance that's in this video? The other Hubbard entrance is further back in the canyon and higher up -- it's not flooded.
