  • @nipper1065 There is a differance between the ears being back and them being pinned. Pinned is aggression. Horse put their ears BACK to listen. And getting the shots to the tail is BANNED in EVERY reining event.. The horse doesn't shake to regain balance. If she was stumbling all over the place that would be trying to regain balance. And he's not ONLY getting off to be interviewed but there IS an EQUIPMENT CHECK they go through at the end. Shut up if you don't know what you're talking about.

  • In reining thats how they say good job or that looked cool. It isn't a silent sport like dressage.

  • Oh and I ride western, starting English so I'm not a hater, just making a point :P

  • Nothing we do to the horses are "natural". Horses weren't made to jump--at all! But they also weren't made to gallop around barrels and weave through poles. So quit acting like your sport is perfectly fine for the horse. And those dressage moves--horses are definitely not made for that but not for sudden stops either. I think most would agree with this.

  • Wow that is one of the most beautiful horses I have ever seen! Great ride! :)

  • Yeah the horses ears are back it's loping really fast and always listening u dumb fucks

  • Will people just shut up and realize that every type of riding puts pressure and damage on joints.

  • p2: capable of doing full blown sliding stops and performing spins. the only reason why they wear some wear so many boots it to prevent injuries, not because they already have some. ive done a high level of dressage, western and show jumping and i know for a fact that reining horses are less likely to get injured than show jumpers, everything is smooth and steady not jerky or uncomfortable. reining isn't learnt over night and its not easy, but its deffinatly better for riders with arthritis.

  • p1: you lot are so fucking retarded when it comes to knowing anything about western! someone was complaining because the horses ears are back! wtf? that's pretty average for reining horses are they're constantly listening to their riders waiting for the next command, id like to see some show jumpers be that obedient, calm and relaxed for the whole time. also someone said that reiners suffer from arthritis hence why they wear loads of boots??? yeah ok, because arthritic horses are obviously p2

  • That is one beautiful horse. I want one! Haha Shawn did a beautiful job as did Little Chic!

  • AWESOME!!!! pattern 10 I believe?

  • I love how folks on here are talking about all this bull about joints and what horses naturally do in the wild. Human contact with horses isn't natural so you have no argument. Joints wear down weather you ride competitively or for fun just like humans.
