Actually he did go to jail, and they were old friends- Mrs. Lovett was his landlady. And it's not that he doesn't like Mrs. Lovett, its just that he's so consumed in his thoughts of Lucy and Johanna.

your voice certainly is........interesting.

but i do agree, its an amazing film and had quite a lot of legendary actors, and you wouldn't even think their singing voice would be that great, but in fact all their voices are unique and quite beautiful.

And no other film maker could have done a better job at directing it, besisdes Burton. i love all of his films, they have a certain dark vibe that i love, what better than a remake of one of the darkest musicals ever, Sweeney Todd? ;D
