Muff Fuzz Clones, used BC108's in #2 and 2N5088 in this new circuit, same circuit and same value components. Pine-caster Tele, Sheptone 7.6K "Tribute" PAF neck and Zhangbucker "Tarpaper" 8.6K single coil in the bridge.
The BC108's also have a lot of low end as well but not as much gain as the 2N5088's, the input/output coupling caps you use also changes the resonant peak frequency. So keep that in mind with your Fuzz build.
seems to me teh 2n5088 has a little more low end..iam building a muff fuzz clone thats asking for 2n5088.The BC108's sound more mid high and tighter
