    Saw this group Tuesday night at Jazz Standard. Easily the most progressive musical thing happening right now. I feel bad, b/c most people won't understand how dynamic these guys are until years from now. GO THEM SEEM NOW, AT ANY COST!

    I used to not listen to players because of their sounds. I missed out on one of the most influential players of all time, Joe Henderson because I didn't like his sound. We have to get past that and listen to the ideas of a player and the soul of the words coming out of the heart of the instrument. Sound is about taste, even the smooth jazz players that are "flashy" and "bright" have a voice. I'm not saying to go out and start transcribing Dave Koz, but don't turn away from Chris!

    Personally i dont really like his sound; that said, i love what he plays, his rythmic concepts are crazy and he has great compositions. He could do great things.

    They played togheter on the Chris Potter underground quartet cd, go get one this is one of the most mind blowing, freakin' album of jazz ever!!! If you enjoy Krantz music try to listen to Long to be Loose album, perfect!
