With Traction Control in full bloom, the AMA's consideration of a spec ECU, and MotoGP circles chatting about banning it, this interview with Neil Hodgson from 2008 seems instructional. When juxtaposed with Mladin's comments, it's quite entertaining.
@carpedna Some people do it it in normal circuit racing, but where you see it all the time, is real road racing, Isle of Mann TT, NW200, Irish real road racing. Short road circuits don't have crests like real roads, and superbikes going over crests at any speed, in any gear, stand up violently. That's where you see riders wearing out a new set of rear brake pads in 10 laps.

But how much can you actually believe anything said there? The mechanics and crew were having a good old laugh.

Josh Hayes is hilarious. Perfect air-fuel ratio.......something everybody wants.

Interesting using the rear brake as a wheelie control. I suppose, if done right, it could be a finer control than the throttle in that instance.
