S.H. #2 - Fully Involved Box Truck Fire - 7-7-10

07/07/2010 - At 17:16hrs stations 2 & 4 were dispatched to 2012 Long Run Road for a reported vehicle fire. As units were en-route they were advised of a vehicle fire to the rear of Bills Produce. First arriving Chief 722 advised that he had heavy smoke in the area and a fully involved box truck to the rear of Bills Produce. When E-732 arrived on scene they immediately placed two 1-3/4 " lines in service with foam and started to knock down the fire. When E-737 arrived on scene they placed an additional 1-3/4" line to assist at knocking down the fire. When E-733 arrived on scene they supplied E-732 with their tank water and T-738 supplied E-737 with water. Once the crews had the fire knocked down, they then pulled apart the contents of the truck to make sure everything was extinguished. Chief 722 had command and units were on scene for approximately 1 hour. Engine 732 responded with (8) and Engine 733 responded with (3) - Video from Schuylkill Hose Company #2, Schuylkill Haven, PA
