  • the breakdown at the 2:30 ish mark is so haunting and uplifting, it entrances me into a state of absolute stillness even today...it reminds my of my fading youth and what it meant to grow up with this music; this ethos and culture; you felt so...alive. Really...and music since has never really taken me there like this did...and I was never a drugs man either. I just fell in love with it and the whole nature of it.....it's an honour to have grown up with it and to still enjoy it today. Thanks..

  • Baaaad tune. Certainly got that Basement sound to it.

  • i remember many a night and morning losing my shit to this tune, large tune

i would give my left nut to go back to the days when this was the standard

  • Why Breakbeat Hardcore producers loved so Much the 909 Kick?

  • Certain tunes have certain effects on certain people. I always liked "Wheel The Bass (Dub Mix)" but no one has uploaded it on here yet, I might. :p

  • sounds well like a bad boy basement tune feelin the vibe though gotta love the 93 darkside

  • Darkside rulez!

  • haha....yes definitely. It's evocative, smooth - deep Hardcore without trying to label tself 'intelligent' - but that's just what it is. It's the stab at 1:40 ish that gives it its Basement feel for sure....absolutely pulsating, hypnotising track :D

  • This does sound very Basement/Sound Entity orientated - that's the Jack Smooth influence for ya!

  • oh jeez...many a moon ago I heard this track on an old Edge tape - I forget the DJ, possibly Ratty; but I instantly became hypnotised by the sounds on offer, the "dark-core" quality of the track. It was on my wants list straight away, the only trouble being...I had no idea who it was by or what it was called. I always assumed it was a Basement tune, because it simply sounds like one from the time. It wasn't until recent yrs I was able to come across it and identify it.
