This is the story of just ONE horse saved from slaughter. Horse #911. She was found in a "kill pen" . Slaughter is NOT the answer! Please concider a rescue horse, or donate to one of your local rescue horse places...they are always in need of donations for the "bail" , trailering costs, quarentine, vet bills, farrier bills... and "groceries". One person CAN make a difference! This mare is sooooo sweet, I can't believe someone "threw her away" , her life was doomed... headed for slaughter, THEN only hours before her "one way ticket", she was saved! She is safe and getting vet care now. "Please don't cry for the horses... love the ones that are here" ... Thank you for watching... The easiest way to stop horse slaughter is to educate people to enjoy an older horse instead of creating an economy based on the breeding, buying and selling of babies. Too many people think a horse is old when they have reached 10. 10 and beyond are the best years. So instead of buying a pretty little baby look at something older that will love you and be grateful of the home you have given them. My own horse is an off track thoroughbred a prime example of over breeding.
