  • I was very young when these bumpers came out. I remember my mom taking my dad to work and we will all piled in the car and go to sleep and then we will come back and watch the bumpers before we go to bed. It's a riot.

  • I'm 52 I remember this when I was a kid.Bring back memories.Ahhh this is before high price cable.

  • Wow, they never show Network on TV. Never. And these bumpers "A Special Movie Presentation" were back when watching a theatrical movie on TV was kind of a big event, something you really planned for and really looked forward to. It really was something special. But now it's just routine. Thanks for uploading.

  • ...My GOD!!!!!! I love this stuff. Been so long since all of us have seen it,yet somehow, most of us remember alot of the sequencing and notes of the song before they even play. am I right? =-)

  • @93sundance I think you're referring to the "splicing block", a sort of mini-guillotine where the film could be cut, rearranged (parts removed or re-ordered), and then literally glued back together again... all the things that can now be accomplished digitally with a few points and clicks, and no mess. There is a real romance to all that technology, however, and as long as theatres continue to project images burned on celluloid ribbons, the editors will keep the splicing block in their arsenal.

  • Why would CBS air a movie so critical of television? Is it any wonder that NBC's share in the late 70's, the worst of the Big Three, is higher than last week's highest rated show?

  • western -flavored intro....hungry for chicken

  • the all but exctinct TV movie presentation...ummmm by a NETWORK...

  • Lord this takes me back!

  • 1:12 WTF is that? I remember this from when I was a kid but really what is it????
