very nice and cute birds. i have a cockatiel and 2 budgies. my yellow budgie just went to the vet because she was under fed, now shes on some medicene. i just wanted to know how u got birdie and stewie to eat some vegies for there general vitamen intake?

@lemurfan123 a lovebird is a fine first bird, as long as you know what your getting yourself into(which it sounds like you do) then you will be just fine :)

@earthling1984 I've done two years of solid research on all species of parrots, especially Budgies, Lovebirds and Cockatiels. I've never owned a bird before but I feel ready to get a Lovebird and naming it Romeo, lol. Would you say a Lovebird is a good starter bird? It will always have company in the house and come out of its cage daily for at least an hour. I think I know how to tame it, now all I need is the bird.
my vet told me that cockatiels on seed diets live an average of 7-12 years whereas if they are on a pelleted diet they live up to 25 years with proper care

@reptitatboy I had a parakeet that lived like 15 years, and all it ate was seeds, and most parakeets live like 8 years or so.
