@FreakyMango Thanks, that's a very valid comment. The car is long gone but KTC remain trading and it is still obvious from comments on various forums on the internet they have still not improved. The purchase of a car is a lot of money for most people and I was only thinking in their interests.

look people, with every society/race you'll get dodgy people, be it black/white/brown/yellow (simpsons style).

its true, there are so many dodgy asians out there selling cars round here, they've given the rest of us a bad reputation.

you just need to be wary, get the cars checked out PROPERLY, any money is a lot of money when buying a car, grab a mechanic and get him/her to check it out.

its easy to say a certain group of ppl are "dodgy" but theres always a diamond or two to be found :)

btw philg1969 did you ever get trading standards involved? its a joke what they did to you and they deserve to be bankrupt the clowns.

madfaz, I contacted trading standards but they were only willing to offer advice and not take any action themselves. I am certain other people must have reported them so it amazes me KTC are left to continue trading. I did issue a Country Court Summons against them but never got a penny back. I sold the car earlier this year but made sure it was spot on in every way as could never rip anyone off myself. Lost a couple of thousand on price I paid but lesson learned for me on this occasion.

madfaz, absolutely right and very fair comment. There are plenty of dodgy car dealers whatever the skin colour of the owner, good ones like yourself also. Skin colour is irrelevant. You could argue that it was partly my fault but I am maybe to trustful and honest and expected better for the money. Still think KTC should be sorted out because its obvious they are still ripping off customers and dont seem to care about their reputation. Not on really. Thanks for your comment.

I must have had the same guy aswell then. Complete tossers, every single one of them. I went down from central scotland with a mate to look at a starlet. He had the cash in his car waiting, but I got a good look at the starlet thank fuck. Not that you needed a good look. Stevie Wonder could have told us that every car in that place was dodgy. I feel for you, you must have been gutted. To anyone reading this - DONT GO NEAR KTC...UNLESS ITS WITH BASEBALL BATS TO DO THE LOT OF THEM. lol

went there today,looked at a 1.6gl impreza with an alleged FULL wrx turbo conversion,all il say is whover buys that car is going to end up DEAD.

KTC are well known for being a bunch of crooks, just go in any of the major car forums scoobynet, pistonheads to name but two and you'll see a similar story. I'm sure not every single car they sell is a pup, but the fact they do it at all is a problem. I fucking hate people that rip people off, they deserve all the negative shit they get.

Hello Guys

I bought a BMW M3 Sport Car, for the sum of £10,995. I've had the car approx 16 months and for this period of time its been parked outside my house.

So the story begins like this, i have been working hard and saving for some time for my dream car, a BMW M3. Found a suitable car advertised on Autotrader and soon after went up to KTC to look at/purchase the car, bare in mind this was a 12hr round trip! On arrival everything was to my standards so i bought the car

The car was taken to an MOT station at their choice and what they found was to my amazement!

Trading standards said it had extensive damage to the front and rear of the car, and the car was not road worthy, this car in my eyes should of never been sold from the dealer in this standard, when the car was on the MOT lift, the tester said it had massive shunt from both the front and rear of the car and nothing was lining up from under the car.

I spoke to a man who sat next to me who had flown in from Scotland who bought a £50.000 car off KTC and he had the same problems as me, i have just had phone call of trading standards with the worst news ever telling me he was found not guilty on all charges

I now have a 10 grand car sitting on my front lawn doing nothing but making a new home for the birds and bees

The owner of KTC and the company is not to be trusted
