1965 Chrysler New Yorker TV Commercial

Brand New Styling was introduced in 1965. This really was a beautiful car. Note the glass covered headlamps and the clear Lens on the tail lights. These tailights didn't function well and were quickly dropped. They were years later featured again on a Chrysler, the Lebaron in 1977 and they didn't work then either and were again quickly dropped early in the production run

wel i must say that the american auto disign realy suck now days, it was a lot beter 30 years ago. Now days the US cars does not look anymore like American cars, the look like Japanese cars, totaly no disign and comfort, its a shame

We bought an N.Y.er back then and it was a piece of junk. The push rod got bent after going up a hill. A year later the freeze plug broke and the motor overheated resulting in a cracked block.

I remember my dad having a 65 New Yorker blue with a shiney blue interior. I wasn't very old but I remember that car burning the tires off.

i have a 1965 chrysler newport 2 door that looks really close to this one..the interior is being done the paint and re-chrome the bumpers and im cruising all over los angeles!
