Looks like we got ourselves a convoy, yehaw!!! I'd like to apologise for the very shakey camera. This was filmed on my little finepix camera without a tripod, and I was trying to hold it steady while waving at the same time.

It's the East Coast Truckers and their charity convoy from Norwich City to Great Yarmouth! Basically these trucker dudes get together and form a convoy, and take loads of disabled kids for a trip to Pleasurewood Hills in Gt Yarmouth. The kids and their carers get to ride up top in the massive trucks, horns blaring all the way, while locals from the places on route line the roads to wave them on. It's like being the president...only with a REALLY LOUD HORN.

Seriously, those guys were LOOOOOUD XD

Anyway, it's a very impressive display and I wanted to film it. From the footage I counted just under 100 trucks, not including the fire engine, ambulance and other smaller vehicles following behind. They just kept on coming!

WELL DONE GUYS, a very inspiring convoy and I hope you all had fun!

Me too, it looks like such a run ride, and all that attention!

  • Actually Pleasurewood Hills is in Lowestoft, and there was actually 101 truck sin this year's convoy as this was to celebrate 25 years of the convoy taking place, there is usually approx 85 trucks each year

  • Another year, another convoy, this year was the big one, we hit 25 years!! Lots and lots of work done behind the scenes which general public never see, but is it all worth it?? In a word, YES, the smile on the kids face makes it for every single driver (Driver 70 here by the way), seeing all you on the side of the road in the pouring rain, what a day!!! Thanks to ALL YOU LOT for being there.

  • there was 101 trucks on it this year, the fire engine at the back was part of the convoy aswell. next year is down to 85. im one of the photographers for the charity and this was my 2nd year. i have such great control of the trucks wherever i go as i know pretty much half the drivers.
