  • I remember being a child and watching this (if it was aired in 1978 I'd have been 7). The whole thing (especially the intro music and the photo of the missing poodle...yes a poodle!) terrified me. It tapped into something terrifying that the majority of blood-splattering horrors could never come close to.

  • I remember watching this when I was younger - I had some horrible dreams about that dead dog in this story and the music scared me to death.

  • i found these very frightening and disturbing at the time, now they are quiet tame and very overlong

  • Have just realised the woman in the glasses is a young Susie Blake - the television presenter on Victoria Wood's As Seen On TV!

  • the line :'i used to have a client who used to piss in his hat...' followed by the sudden appearence of the poodle and scary music. priceless...

  • where can i get this, have been looking for years

  • I remember watching this as a kid and asking my elder sister what was in the box. She had to explain it to me.

  • I've come across this with a bit of luck but just to say I 've been wondering for years what was the show with a dog on the end-credits that was very disturbing.

I saw a bit of this when I was up late with my parents and was really disturbed by the notion of a lovely little dog in danger and if I'm right he's on the end-credits too.

Funny though, how it looks so tame now but the seventies could have some brutal tv.

Amazing to see this clip though.

  • Oh wow!! I have found it!! I haven't seen this since the 70's!! Thanks so much.
